Virgin Gorda

The Baths

Granite caves, pale water, a swim between the boulders.

Snorkeler among the granite at The Baths, Virgin Gorda

On the water

The classic stop on a BVI week

The Baths sit on the southwest tip of Virgin Gorda. You tender to the swim area, slip into the water, and work through the caves toward Devil’s Bay. Morning is quieter. Midday fills.

A sailing week puts you here on the first or second day when the weather is fair. A private day leaves Nanny Cay for this anchorage and the water around it. A shared day trip is the simpler way if you only want the caves and lunch ashore. There is a short note on when to go.
